Sorry for potato quality pics. We got an interesting trade last night. When I first saw it on the list I was pretty excited. Then I saw it.
Those wheels... meh. Not really digging them. Windows are tinted so dark you can barely see out of it. On the inside... it's full of crumbs, trash, Happy Meal toys, etc. Back seat is a mess of little bits of food, candy wrappers, and little splotches of sugary nastiness everywhere. I found a couple of (clean) diapers in the center console. Nothing against anyone with kids... it's just, why would you allow them to trash a car like this?
I did get to play around with it a little though. Lots of Chrysler bits inside, the infotainment system is the same as the one in a Dodge Dart. That exhaust note though... my god, this car sounds good.

Wild assumption (and I may end up looking like an ass if I'm wrong) but I take it you don't have kids of your own?

Because they're trading it in, so what does it matter to them?

To be fair, my dad's car looked like ass when were kids for similar reasons to this car.

I don't, but if I did I wouldn't be stuffing them full of candy and chips in the back of a $100,000+ car.
But then again I don't have the disposable income to buy a car like that like it ain't no thang. I'm sure there's a point where you just don't care anymore.

I wish. The only person allowed to take a car like that home is the company owner.

I wasn't going to stereotype, but being that the memory seat nearly folded me in half when I started the car I think you might be right.

Brand new Ram 3500 Lonhorn crew cab dually with Cummins diesel. $70,000 truck. Makes me think they've bought a new expensive toy they need to haul around, probably a camper or boat.

I saw one of these guys in Puerto Rico last week. Maserati as a family car seems odd... except I've seen them all my life as family cars.
Any sorta cultural correlation that would make this the Mercedes of the monied family man in Italy? That's what I've always pictured. Can't buy a Ferrari because it won't seat three or four kids, but this Cuatroportay can.
Oh, side note: I took a Mille Bornes deck to PR to play with the kids. Never even opened the box. Can't wait to see what they think of it though.

Yeah, depends on their situation. I would imagine the disposable income in that family is pretty high so they probably don't care.
But they could also have three kids all under the age of 5 or something and would imagine during store trips/getting them to daycare would be a hassle at the least.
I have a friend of mine who just bought a CLA250 and has had a hard time keeping it clean with his two kids and he babies his car.

I have three kids, and you should see the inside of our Odyssey. But it says a lot about your disposable income when a Maserati is considered a beater.

I have three kids (8, 6 & 2). They're not in my car too often, but I have strict rules about eating or drinking anything in my car. My wife's, however, is their primary transport and our trip vehicle, gets absolutely disgusting at times. At first, when it was newer/nicer, I'd get very frustrated, but with all the shuttling she has to do, I just try to be thankful that it's her and not me, and let it go as much as possible (and pay the detailer to make it right on a semi-regular basis). They have sports after school, so they have to eat in car sometimes, and if they're running late in the morning they'll have a granola bar in there. I'll never understand why they need a snack on the 10 minute drive home from school, though...

It's also easier to have the disposable income for a $100,000 car when you don't have kids

If I ever end up having kids, the child transport-mobile will be a used minivan, preferably one already purchased with hail damage or something. That way nothing of value is lost.

I have kids, and a clean car. It's difficult, but possible. Two rules in dad's car:
1. No eating. Sorry, but you're going to make a huge mess and we both know it, so no.
2. You take everything out of the car that you brought in, every time. Anything left gets thrown away at the next carwash.
ETA-
3. DON'T TOUCH THE GLASS OR THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR

You can if you're signed up for the demo plan, it costs a little bit of money plus there are various other requirements. I'm on it and don't drive my own car for any work related purposes, which works for me because I drive about 2000 miles per month. Currently driving a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid.

Was it one of the Beetles or the land barge? Nice either way.
If you're known to be trustworthy and in good standing with the company they usually don't mind if you take a car home for a day or so. Can't even count the number of times I borrowed a truck to move something when I wasn't on the demo plan. Now that I am, I usually drive each car for about 3-4 weeks or until they have a customer interested in it, whichever happens first. Priority #1 is fuel economy but I try and grab something that's fun as well when I can.

I have 2. The wife's Minivan is full of trash. Daddy's car is a no food, no drink zone. When they are extra good I will let them have a bottle of water in the back.
